The Dalia and Eli Hurvitz Foundation

The Dalia and Eli Hurvitz Foundation Ltd. (a public utility company) was established in 2013 with the aim of contributing, initiating, encouraging, and facilitating the promotion of action and research in the fields of health, welfare, education, and art.
The Foundation supports the Eli Hurvitz Institute for Strategic Management of the Recanati business School at Tel Aviv University, which was established in 2004. The Institute was founded as an initiative of Teva Pharmaceuticals following Eli Hurvitz’s retirement from his role as CEO of Teva and his election as the Chairman. The late Hurvitz regarded strategy as the heart of management and organizational success. He was proud to establish the Institute and act as an active partner in its development and growth throughout the years until his passing. The Foundation aims to maintain Hurvitz’s vision and to significantly assist in the development of knowledge and learning in the field of strategy for the benefit of researchers and managers in Israel and around the world.
Chaim Hurvitz
Chaim Hurvitz joined the Board of Teva Pharmaceuticals in October 2010.
Since May 2010 Hurvitz has served as the CEO of the venture capital fund CHealth. Previously, he served as a member of Teva’s senior management; Chairman of the International Group (2002-2010); Chairman and CEO of Teva Europe (1992-1999); and Vice President Sales, Pharmaceuticals, Israel (1999-2002).
Hurvitz serves as Director of drug development company, Aposense Ltd. He is a Member of the Board of the Manufacturers Association of Israel, heading its Pharmaceutical Division.
Chaim Hurvitz holds a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Tel Aviv University (1985).

Yair Seroussi was appointed Chairman of the Board of Bank Hapoalim in August 2009. Between the years 1997-2002, he served as Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee at the Bank. Until recently, Mr. Seroussi served as Chairman of the Board at Poalim Capital Markets, the investment banking arm of Bank Hapoalim. He serves as Chairman of the Administrative Committee of Poalim in the Community Foundation as well as of the Peretz Naftali Fund.
Mr. Seroussi also serves as Chairman of the Eli Hurvitz Institute for Strategic Management at Recanati Business School in Tel Aviv University; he is a member of the India-Israel Forum at Tel Aviv University; Member of the Board of Trustees of the Hebrew University; and Member of the Board of the technology company DSP Group.
Between the years 2009-2011 he served as President of the Association of Banks in Israel. Mr. Seroussi established the investment bank Morgan Stanley Israel and directed its activities for 16 years. Between the years 2003-2009, he served as Chairman of the Investment Committee of veteran pension fund Mivtachim.
He was a partner, co-founder, and Chairman of Europort, today the leading company in the field of sheltered housing in Israel, and co-founder and Chairman of the Mustang Mezzanine Fund.
Mr. Seroussi served as Director in numerous companies, including Frutarom, the Israel Corporation, Optibase, Vintegra, and Oil Services.
Between the years 1981-1992, Mr. Seroussi held a series of senior positions in the Ministry of Finance, including Head of the Israeli Ministry of Finance mission in the U.S. and head of the Commodities Division of the State of Israel. He was also a member of the Investment Center and of the Chief Scientist’s Fund.
In the early 1990s, he was a member of the team that founded the “Yozma” (“Initiative” in Hebrew) Program to create a venture capital industry in Israel.
Mr. Seroussi holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
